As of 1 June 2011 we are pleased to announce that S.A. Cole & Associates (Optometrists) will be known as BUIZER & COLE. With more than 30 years of excellent service to the people of the Clacton area this new partnership ensures an ongoing commitment to high quality eyecare well into the future.

Chris Rushen (Pictured above in the centre), an Optometrist working at Buizer and Cole Opticians in Pier Avenue Clacton, has acheived a first.

We believe he is the first Community Optometrist in the county to become an independent prescriber, which means that he is able to issue NHS prescriptions for medications to treat common eye conditions.

Chris, who has over twenty years experience of leading the Optometry team at Essex County Hospital in Colchester, has recently joined fellow Optometrists Steve Cole and Adrian Buizer at the Optical Practice formerly known as S A Cole and Associates
